How to connect to the server - KVM / iLO

WEDOS HPE ProLiant DL320 servers use the so-called iLO (Integrated Lights-Out). This is a Hewlett-Packard technology for remote management of dedicated servers via HTTPS.

You can use iLO to perform the following operations:

Server hard restart (in case the server does not respond to commands over the network)

Turning on the physical server

Use the remote management console (KVM)

Access the server IML (Integrated Management Log)

You can use RIBCL (Remote Insight Board Commang Language) for communication

Command console available via RS-232 port

What is a dedicated server?

Dedicated server means that we rent our hardware to the customer, place it in our server room, provide it with backup power and connect it to the Internet. We remain the owner of the server, the customer manages it remotely via the Internet and never comes into contact with it. Of course, the customer is the owner of the data stored on the server.

We then take care of the server, but only on the hardware side. We solve failures of disks, memory, processors, etc. The repair or replacement of a failed hardware component is free of charge and is entirely within our control.

But beware - as far as the software is concerned, we do not take care of it. The installation of the operating system, its setup, security, backups, updates, etc. as well as all other software and services on the server are entirely the responsibility of the customer.

How long before my server is ready for use?

The establishment is automatic with us. You can start using the servers that are in stock within a few tens of seconds.

Do you provide installation and management of the operating system and software in addition to the dedicated server?

No. To operate and manage a dedicated server, you need to have at least basic knowledge of the administration of the selected operating system. Unlike web hosting, we do not manage the server. We do not perform software installations, configurations or customizations. A dedicated server does not contain any software (e.g. WWW server, PHP, database, etc.) and we do not install a basic operating system. All installations and configurations are completely in the customer's control.

If you do not have experience with this, we recommend choosing web hosting.
