Decisive date: December 31, 2025
This document provides an overview of the environmental, social, and governance (ESG) approaches, activities, and key results of WEDOS Internet, a.s. for the year 2025. The ESG report describes responsible resource management, community benefits, significant certifications, and strategic priorities in relation to sustainability, service quality, and impact on society.
1. Environmental (E)
Energy consumption and resource utilization
WEDOS Internet, a.s. operates two of its own data centers with different energy profiles and cooling technologies.
- DC1 ("Bunker"):
Annual electricity consumption for 2025 was approximately 1,600 MWh.
DC1 is cooled by "freecooling," which significantly reduces the energy consumption required to cool the servers. - DC2 ("Podskalí"):
DC2 uses a unique oil cooling system. When server utilization is low, DC2 saves several dozen MWh per year compared to traditional air cooling, and its operation is extremely energy efficient.
Both centers monitor energy consumption with the aim of ensuring efficient use of resources and minimizing energy losses.
Infrastructure restoration
During 2025, the company systematically renewed its server infrastructure with an emphasis on higher energy efficiency and lower consumption per unit of computing power. The new servers have better energy parameters than the previous generation, which contributes to improving overall operational efficiency.
