Is it safe to move emails and websites?

Moving your website and emails from one provider to another can seem like a difficult and risky process. No one wants to take the risk that the website won't go down for a few minutes or that an important email won't arrive.
In reality, however, it's simple and secure because the website and email boxes are copied first. It is only the direction of the domain that decides where the website will be displayed from and where the emails will arrive.

The complete migration usually takes up to 2 working days, depending on technical and personnel capacities.
After ordering web hosting, a member of the migration department will usually contact you within 1 working day to ask for access data. The email will come from hosting@wedos.com or hosting@vedos.com. After receiving the functional data we will start migration and check the functionality of the website. If it seems fine from our side, we will offer it to you for checking and we will fix any problems.
Throughout the migration period, the services are available with your original provider.
Once the checks are completed, we will point the domain to the new website or email, and within 1 hour the services will be working with us. You can then shut down services with your original provider.

What if I'm not happy after the move?

You have 7 days to try the service with no obligation - if you are not satisfied, we will refund your money. Before you point your domain, you can check for yourself that VEDOS is faster and more stable without affecting your visitors. There is no risk to you by migrating. How does the free period of up to 2 years work when switching from a competitor?

You will add the invoice and other information to your order in the first step.

What types of services can I migrate to VEDOS?

You can migrate almost any website, where you can share us the access data directly to the data.
We commonly migrate websites with WordPress content management system. The migration of e-mails or assistance with domain re-registration is not a problem either.
Among the services whose successful migration we cannot guarantee you are:
websites created in online web editors such as WIX, Webnode, ...
using an unusual content management system or our own complex solution;
incompatible with currently supported versions of PHP and SQL databases on our servers.

What happens to the data with the original provider?

The data at the original provider is not affected by the migration.
Until you approve the migrated website and point the DNS to it (manually, automatically or with our help), the website and emails will work at the original provider.

What if migration fails?

If the migration fails for any reason, or if we are unable to get the site 100% up and running, you can cancel the service and the migration.
We will refund your money, the services will remain in operation with the original provider.
