Looking back on 2025: what we have achieved together

For VEDOS, 2025 was a year of growth, change, and security. Thank you for being with us. Here is a brief summary of the most important events:

• The entire WEDOS company underwent restructuring: it was divided into specialized units, simplified its offering, and moved its Czech hosting services under the new VEDOS Hosting brand, while the WEDOS brand focused more on global cybersecurity.
• .CZ domains: we are the leading registrar, having exceeded the threshold of 345,000 .CZ domains.
• In total, we registered 75,441 new domains and renewed 318,260 domains during the year.
• We have implemented new ICANN security requirements.
• We have launched a new service called Mailhosting Business.
• We have successfully recertified all our ISO certificates and switched to a combined certificate, where the main company is WEDOS Group SA and its workplaces.
• We started testing a new oil in which Moonshots are cooled.
• Our programming and sales teams have been strengthened by a total of 11 new employees.
• We have launched profi.vedos.cz – a directory of specialists who can help you when you need advice.
• Last but not least, we have improved and upgraded our cloud services and hosting infrastructure.

And a few interesting facts to conclude:

• The furthest customer was from Amagasaki, Japan – a direct distance of 8,997 km.
• 1,202 customers chose a free domain as a gift, while 305 chose a T-shirt. By the way, did you know that we have a new robot print?
• Almost 7,000 products and ebooks were ordered on wedos.store last year. Thank you!

Your WordPress will fly: We are launching new hosting with LiteSpeed + Redis soon

We can't reveal all the details yet (we're fine-tuning the last details), but we already know that this will be a hit for WordPress websites that want speed and performance.

Gmail has ended POP3 support

As of January 2026, Gmail will no longer support downloading mail from external mailboxes via POP3. If you have this setting enabled, new emails will no longer be automatically downloaded to Gmail, but previously downloaded messages will remain in Gmail. We therefore recommend that you check this in your Gmail settings as soon as possible.

If you have mail hosting with VEDOS and want your emails to continue to be delivered to Gmail, you need to set up mail forwarding from your mailbox with us to your Gmail address. This way, mail will be delivered directly and will replace the current POP3 download.

And if you prefer managing your email via the web, you can continue to use Roundcube, our online webmail service available directly in your browser, without any changes.
