New DNS record types: DNAME and HTTPS

We are expanding our DNS services! You can now set up two advanced types of DNS records with us:

• DNAME - allows you to redirect the entire subdomain tree to another domain. You save time in DNS management and gain more flexibility.
• HTTPS - a new entry that helps browsers connect to your site more securely and quickly. Particularly suitable for modern websites using technologies such as HTTP/3 and QUIC.

You can start using both types immediately via the customer administration.

Beware of fake emails claiming to be VEDOS

In recent days we have seen a wave of phishing emails trying to give the impression that they are from VEDOS. In reality, it is a targeted attempt to extort login credentials, personal information or money.

These messages often look credible - they may contain our logo, replicated graphics and similar language. This is why we recommend the utmost caution when dealing with emails.

How to spot a scam email?
Ask yourself the following questions before taking any action:

• Who is the real sender? Check the email address, not just the name.
• Does the message contain an unexpected prompt to pay or change your password?
• Do links lead to unknown or suspicious web addresses?
• Does the text sound unnatural or like an automatic translation?

What to watch out for?

• Never click on suspicious links or open attachments you didn't expect.
• If you are not sure, check directly with the customer administration or contact our customer support.
• Never send your login details by email.

We don't have to be afraid of every email or text message, we just have to have a healthy doubt and verify. Remember the basic rules: never send passwords or PINs by email, don't mindlessly click on links in suspicious messages, verify communications from an independent source.
