New types of DNS records: DNAME and HTTPS

We are expanding our DNS services! You can now set up two advanced types of DNS records with us:

• DNAME – allows you to redirect an entire subdomain tree to another domain. You save time managing DNS and gain greater flexibility.
• HTTPS – a new record that helps browsers connect to your website more securely and quickly. Particularly suitable for modern websites using technologies such as HTTP/3 and QUIC.

You can start using both types immediately viacustomer administration.

Beware of fake emails posing as VEDOS

In recent days, we have noticed a wave of fraudulent (phishing) emails that attempt to give the impression that they come from VEDOS. In reality, these are targeted attempts to obtain login details, personal information, or money.

These messages often appear credible—they may contain our logo, imitation graphics, and similar language. That is why we recommend exercising extreme caution when working with emails.

How to recognize a fraudulent email?
Before taking any action, ask yourself the following questions:

• Who is the real sender? Check the email address, not just the name.
• Does the message contain an unexpected request for payment or password change?
• Do the links lead to unknown or suspicious web addresses?
• Does the text sound unnatural or like an automatic translation?

What should you watch out for?

• Never click on suspicious links or open attachments you weren't expecting.
• If you are unsure, check everything directly in the customer administration or contact our customer support.
• Never send your login details by email.

We don't need to be afraid of every email or text message; it's enough to be skeptical and verify. Remember the basic rules: never send passwords or PINs by email, don't click blindly on links in suspicious messages, and verify communication from an independent source.
