How to proceed
In case you are interested in a paid transfer of pages to VEDOS servers, follow these steps:
- Prepare all the FTP and database credentials you use on your existing server
- Create a web hosting order at this link
- After you have paid for and created your web hosting, you will receive login details by e-mail, please keep these details.
- After receiving your login details from VEDOS web hosting, please contact us using the transfer request form.
- The operator will then contact you back with basic and necessary information.
Terms and Conditions
Terms of moving sites from competitors for a fee:
- Moving pages is not guaranteed. For example, if it is a specific content management system or custom development, we do not guarantee 100% functional transfer. In this case, no fee will be charged, i.e. the page transfer fee according to the price list of additional services.
- Upon completion of the site transfer and functionality testing, the customer is charged a fee 5000 CZK200 €1000 Zł200 $(6050 Kč242€1210Zł242$ including VAT). This fee includes a maximum of 5 hours of work. In the case of complicated migrations that exceed this range, the price may be multiplied according to the time and complexity required.
- The transfer of pages is carried out by customer support staff only during night hours. The transfer is not carried out by technicians and programmers. There is no time limit for the move, but we try to move the site as soon as possible.
- The customer support worker only performs the transfer of the site (pages, scripts, database) and minor modifications to the site (configuration files) related to the transfer from the competitor. Any other modifications (appearance changes, text changes, etc.), configuration and settings (in the future) are done by the customer.
- Moving pages means moving only the main (main) web presentation and one subdomain including files and database.
- Moving pages does not include moving e-mail accounts, setting up mailboxes, or moving e-mail messages. The customer can ask the customer support staff for a fee to move e-mail boxes. There is a fee for moving one e-mail box 500 CZK20,83 €100 Zł20,83 $(605 Kč25,20 €121Zł25,20 $ including VAT).
- The transfer of the site is done from a competitor to a web host, not to a VPS or dedicated server.
- For the transfer of the site, it is necessary to send complete access data (to the site administration, to FTP, to the database from the original site and complete full access from the FTP and database on the VEDOS web hosting) at the request of the customer support staff. After the transfer is completed, the customer is obliged to change all access data.
- Site migration does not include (exclude) the creation, new installation, setup, operation and maintenance of the website.
- The Customer Support Officer has the right to refuse to move the site without giving a reason. The customer will be informed of the refusal by e-mail.
- The customer is obliged to make a backup of their data on the current (original) hosting before handing over their contact details to VEDOS staff.
- The customer is obliged to change the access data to FTP and databases (or others) used on the current (original) and new web hosting after the transfer (whether successful or unsuccessful).
- WEDOS Internet, a.s. and WEDOS, a.s. as the operator of the service shall not be liable for any damage or loss of any data or be responsible for any problems (including outages) related to the transfer.

In case the transfer fails, you pay nothing and the payment for the ordered hosting will be refunded to you (if you request cancellation under the Money Back Guarantee).
