This involves transferring your website from a competitor to ourweb hosting service. It does not involve website creation or programming.
How to proceed
If you are interested in paying to transfer your website to VEDOS servers, please follow these steps:
- Prepare all login details from FTP and the database you use on your current server.
- Create your web hosting order at thislink
- After payment and creation of web hosting, you will receive login details by email. Please keep these details safe.
- After receiving your login details from VEDOS web hosting, please contact us usingthetransfer requestform.
- The operator will then contact you to ask for basic and necessary information.
Terms and Conditions
Terms and conditions for transferring websites from competitors for a fee:
- Website transfer is not guaranteed. If, for example, it involves a specific content management system or custom development, we cannot guarantee 100% functional transfer. In this case, no fee will be charged, i.e., the fee for website transfer according to the price list of additional services.
- Upon completion of the website transfer and testing of functionality, the customer is charged a fee of 5000 CZK€2001000 PLN$200 (6050CZK242€1210PLN242 $ including VAT). This fee covers a maximum of 5 hours of work. In the case of a complicated migration that exceeds this scope, the price may be multiplied according to the time and complexity required.
- The transfer of websites is carried out by customer support staff and only during night hours. The transfer is not carried out by technicians or programmers. There is no time limit for the transfer, but we try to transfer the website as soon as possible.
- The customer support representative only transfers the website (pages, scripts, database) and makes minor adjustments to the pages (configuration files) related to the transfer from the competitor. Any further adjustments (changes to the appearance, text, etc.), configuration, and settings (in the future) are made by the customer themselves.
- The transfer of pages only includes the transfer of the basic (main) website and one subdomain, including files and databases.
- The transfer of websites does not include the transfer of email accounts, mailbox settings, and email messages. Customers can request customer support staff to transfer email mailboxes for a fee. A fee of 500 CZK€20.83100 PLN$ (605CZK, 25.20 €, 121 PLN, 25.20 $ including VAT).
- The transfer of websites is carried out from competitors to web hosting, not to VPS or dedicated servers.
- To transfer the website, you need to send complete access data (to the website administration, FTP, database from the original website, and complete full access from FTP and database to VEDOS web hosting) upon request from a customer support representative. After the transfer is complete, the customer is required to change all access data.
- Website transfer does not include (does not cover) the creation, new installation, configuration, operation, and administration of websites.
- The customer support representative has the right to refuse to move the pages without giving a reason. The customer will be informed of the refusal by email.
- Before providing their contact details to VEDOS staff, customers are required to back up their data on their current (original) hosting.
- After the transfer is complete (whether successful or unsuccessful), the customer is required to change the access data for FTP and databases (or other data) that they use on their current (original) and new web hosting.
- WEDOS Internet, a.s. and WEDOS, a.s., as the service operator, are not liable for any damage or loss of data, nor are they liable for any problems (including outages) related to the transfer.
