Domain renewal rules

based on the provisions set out in the Expired Registration Recovery Policy

Prior to the expiry of the domain name, the Operator (WEDOS Internet, a.s.) shall send the Customer (Domain Name Holder) at least 3 notifications about the expiry of the domain name:

  1. notice - 30 days before expiration together with the sent invitation to pay for renewal according to the valid price list of domains of the Operator.
  2. notice - 7 days before expiry.
  3. notice - 5 days after domain name expiration along with payment instructions

If you have failed to renew your domain name on time, please note that the Operator adheres to the following policies:

  • 8 days after the domain expires, the domain name is dropped from the DNS, but it is still possible to renew it.
  • 30 days after the domain expires, the domain name is deleted but can be renewed for a special renewal fee
  • 60 days after the domain expires, the domain name is cancelled and cannot be renewed.
  • 65 days after the expiration date, the domain name is randomly released for new registration.

Renewal of a domain means payment of the renewal fee, according to the current price list : https://www.vedos.cz/domeny/doplnkove-sluzby

These rules apply only to domains where the Operator is the direct domain registrar and registrations are not mediated by another registrar.
