Information on backing up data for Webhosting, Mailhosting, and virtual servers

Before making any major changes to your website or email accounts (deleting, updating), we strongly recommend that you back up your data in case you accidentally delete or damage an important part of the system. Follow the instructions for backing up your website and emails.

Basic information about backup

With the exception of NoLimit Extra Webhosting, we back up data from selected hosting services for internal use. These backupsare not accessible to customers and are not primarily intended for routine restoration of data accidentally deleted or damaged by customers. They are mainly used by us in the event of a server or disk array failure, when we are forced to restore data.

According to the general terms and conditions, the customer is obliged to regularly back up the content of their services outside the web hosting space itself. For this purpose, we offer a free Disk service for Webhosting and VPS services. Instructions for setting it up can be found in the knowledge base.

In addition to the conditions specified for individual services (Webhosting Extra, other Webhosting and server hosting, e-mails), the provision of advances on our part is governed by the following rules:

  • Communication regarding restoration from backup must always be authorized. The customer or user authorized for the service must request data restoration viathe contact form from the account where the service is managed.
  • As part of the communication, the technician will provide the dates and times of the backups available at that moment. We do not guarantee their availability at the time of confirming the selection of a specific backup, especially if a new backup cycle has taken place during the communication delay.
  • We restore the requested data (files, databases) to FTP, either to a separate folder or by overwriting existing data. The customer imports the databases manually according to the instructions in the knowledge base.
  • Advance payments cannot be claimed.

Sample request for an advance payment

When submitting a request for an internal website or email backup, please provide the following information:

  • Service name (domain), for example, my-website.tld
  • What specifically do you need to restore (the entire website, a specific database or email account, etc.)?
  • The most accurate date and time when the data or emails were damaged or deleted
  • Restore method (overwrite current data or restore to a separate folder on FTP) – applies only to websites.
  • Agreement with renewal price – does not apply to Webhosting Extra service if the conditions for free renewal are met.

NoLimit Extra Web Hosting Backup

With the higher NoLimit Extraweb hosting plan, we performdaily backupsof your website content and all its databases. Backups are performed every night, and backups from the past 5 days are available. Restoration from this daily backup is free of charge under the following conditions:

  • At least 8 days have passed since purchasing/activating the Extra tariff.
  • At least 30 days have passed since the last free advance payment was made.

The restoration is performed by a technician based on an authorized request viathe contact form.

Backup of Web Hosting and Server Hosting

For the basicNoLimit web hosting plan (without the Extra add-on service), theLowCostplan, and virtual servers, we performweekly backups, i.e., once a week we make a copy of the data to a backup disk array. We restore from the last available backup, which may be 0 to 7 days old. The date and time of the last backup of specific data will be communicated by a technician during communication with the customer.

These backups are primarily intended for internal use. Data recovery by us at the customer's request is subject to a one-time feeof CZK500,€20.83, PLN 100, $20.83(CZK 605 incl.VAT, €25.20 incl.VAT,PLN 121 incl.VAT, $25.20 incl. VAT). After performing the data recovery, we will send an invoice with a 7-day payment term to the service's billing email address.

The following applies to advance payments for individual services:

  • In the case of web hosting, we copy the content of the website and/or database to the web hosting service, where the customer can access it via FTP.
  • Forvirtual servers, we do not back up individual files, but rather the entire image of the virtual disk. During restoration, we overwrite the current disk content with this backup.
  • We do not perform any backups fordedicated servers and WMS.

Email Backup

We back up emails for all Webhosting, Mailhosting, WebSite, and WMS service plans. Backups are performed at least once a week, and we provide backups up to 1 week old. Email backup restoration is governed by the following rules:

  • The price for restoring the contents of one email account is CZK500,€20.83, PLN 100, $20.83(CZK 605 incl.VAT, €25.20 incl.VAT,PLN 121 incl.VAT, $25.20 incl. VAT), with the exception of Webhosting NoLimit Extra accounts, which we restore free of charge under the same conditions as data.
  • We always restore the entire contents of the mailbox, not individual emails. The customer is responsible for ensuring that there is sufficient space to perform the restoration.
